Canasta Gold App Reviews

A nice realization of the game but I am missing some very basic features: There is no sound. It is not possible to change the background (which I find a bit ugly). It is not possible to change the names of the opponents. Well, if some of these features *are* there i was not able to find them. Nevertheless it is fun to play it even without these features!

I would have gave this 2 stars but I paid 5 dollars for it! As said, only Canasta game I found so it fills that need but honestly my partner is really bad... I wish there was a reach across the table and slap your partner button!!! Counting is wrong... Setup is bad and a really stupid partner makes it tough to play...

Needs to ask to go out, paid 5 bucks for what???scoring is way out, a little update would fix all this instead of squandering all our money

I bought it even though the rarings werent that good and now that I have it Id still buy it to be able to play the game unless a better one was available. Doesnt seem to score correct all the time. It would be nicer if it could view in lanscape mode

Very very bad AI... Example : if your partner has a 2 in hes hand and there is 6x king on the table, instead of making a canasta your parner will probably spend the 2 with 2x four... I was like : Comeon... Not again... Please fix AI...!!!!!!!

Beside all the other noted problems. I find the app crashes all the time and wipes out your game

I dont know whats with all the bad reviews, but this app is fantastic! Amazing interface and performance. Definitely worth it!

Game crashes when you pick up too many cards in the pile. Happened two or three times now. Love the game. But not this version. Please fix.

This app needs a lot of work. Wouldnt let me go out because it said I need a canasta - even though my partner had one. Another time it said one of my melds was invalid - even though they were all correct.Yet another time I had one card - a 10 (worth10 points) left when opposing team went out but tally showed 20. Instructions have poor grammar which throws off learners, also incomplete and confusing e.g. it shows point value for concealed and hand canasta but doesnt explain what they are. I had to search on-line to get explanations. It also said in order to pick up the discard pile you need two matching cards in hand (which is impossible if the other card is on the discard pile) instead of saying you need two matching RANKS in hand. Obvious to experts but confusing for beginners. Doesnt show a breakdown of points once a player goes out, which would be very helpful for beginners. Would also be nice if it had an option to show running points. It really is too bad this is the only canasta app available.

All kind of bugs where do I start, and for 3.99$ this is not worth a penny. I get what u other reviews are saying love the game but this isnt worth anything. Choked I payed for this pos!!!

This game is not worth buying never mind even wasting space to download!!! Not even the least bit fun! I rate 0 stars!!!

This game is horrible! Your partner plays like a rookie, it doesnt really follow canasta rules and it is a hard to play set up. Dont buy it. Bad. I wish I could undo the sale

I was excited to find a canasta app but this one fell short of my expectations. it lacks foresight and strategy when playing. it crashes and miscounts but gives no options to turn off the automated counting. this app requires a lot of work before it gets a passing grade

The point counting at the end of each hand is usually wrong. Should provide a breakdown of points earned/lost. Partner is TERRIBLE! Should have read the reviews before buying. Very disappointed.

Partner makes moves that make no sense ! Game crashes with large pile pickups! Dont waste the money :(

Who ever programmed this game obviously has never played canasta only has the basic knowledge players wont even pick up card to make canasta nor will it place joker to make canasta ok sometimes if u block ur opponents they will trash a card which the other team still needs also if you need a canasta your partner would rather put out a pack with the joker instead of making a canasta. Can they please release a better game and to think I paid for this. Not to mention that the program crashes on you

Crashing seems to be fixed. Computer partner still makes some pretty silly moves. Like throwing their high cards when trying to put down 120 starts and not picking up the pile when top card could complete a Canasta on the table. The opposite team is more challenging now. Still have glitches, Ive been dealt a red three in my hand, that shouldnt happen. Point counting is typically off at the end of the hand. But, I still enjoy playing.
